Pathfinder Survey App
Pathfinder was conducting a baseline health survey in the Mwanza & Shinyanga regions of Tanzania. The survey was based on WHO guidelines and included over 150 questions in various formats. Pathfinder decided to develop a mobile app of the entire survey to streamline the entire process, ensure data integrity, validate data entry and monitor survey results in realtime. Ongoza worked with Pathfinder to understand their requirements, translate the requirements into layouts then build the application. Our technical team even accompanied the Pathfinder field staff to test the final product in the field and deploy across the surveyor’s handsets.
Samsung Mobile Tanzania
Samsung was launching its Galaxy Pocket smartphone in Tanzania and wanted to run a digital campaign to complements its on the ground marketing activations. Ongoza worked with Samsung to launch a custom website for the Galaxy pocket along with a raffle entry for customers who signed up for the newsletter to learn more about the phone. Google and Facebook ads were run to drive visitors to the website to learn more about the phone. Samsung also simultaneously launched a Facebook page dedicated to the Galaxy Pocket. Over 10,000 visitors were received on the website within one month and 3000 sign ups for the newsletter. 6000+ fans were amassed on the Facebook page within the same period with daily engagement rates of 15% of the fan base.
Access Bank (T) needed a robust system to enable sms alerts anytime a customer made a transaction on their account. The system would also need to be integrated directly with their core-banking platform. Ongoza’s team was able to install and integrate it powerful sms platform to deliver the necessary functionality including in-depth reporting functionality to monitor sms sent and delivery status. Ongoza oversaw the project management along with bank IT and business users.
Techno Serve works with cotton farmers through the cotton board to assist them in creating value chains. Techno Serve needed a mobile/sms solution to broadcast sms to farmers and also receive replies back from them. Ongoza was able to setup its complete bulk sms solution including an integration for two way messaging that allowed Techno Serve to easily manage their communications all in one place.
